Bushnell Yardage Pro xgc – Take Your Game To A New Level
The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC is the new kid on the block when it comes to golf gps units. Most seem to do what they tell you but always fall sort in one area or another. Accuracy, ease of use, size etc… are just a few features that golf gps manufacturers do not give equal importance to.
This little unit seems to have answered all our prayers.
To start off with, just turn on the bushnell yardage pro and you are greeted with a bright and rather large 2.2-inch high-resolution colour screen making it the easiest color screen to read. The screen even has a back light so that it can be used whatever the light condition might be. As with most other golf gps unit, the bushnell yardage pro gps will measure the distances to the front, centre, and back of green and also has the ability to let you know your distance to any specific location on the green. All the features packed in this little gem are easily accessible just by moving the directional wheel to the right or left.
So what about accuracy?
All the world’s best features with no accuracy would be rather pointless. Well you will be glad to know that Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC will not let you down in this department either. One feature that is sure to help your accuracy, is the way that you are able to zoom in from the overhead map making sure that you not only have the right location but the right distance. In fact, the accuracy is better if not the same as any top line golf gps units on the market today.
What about ease of use?
You want to play golf and not having to go through several menus to find what you want. This can make a world of difference to a golfer’s concentration. In just a matter of two clicks, you can find yourself measuring any points of interest like hazards, trees etc… and even things, behind the green, that might not necessarily be in your line of sight.
The score card will default to whatever the par for the hole you are playing is and you also have the option of storing the amount of putts taken. Should you want to add things like a newly built bunker on your course, this can also be done with a few clicks. All in all, the bushnell yardage pro, is probably the most user friendly on the market today.
Through a partnership arrangement with iGolf, a low one-year subscription fee, $35.00 the last time I checked which is cheaper than a lot of others, will allow you to access the world’s largest and most accurate database of GPS course files available today and download up to 100 courses annually. Courses can easily be stored on your computer for easy upload at a later stage. The courses on the iGolf website are updated on a regular basis ensuring that you always have the latest information possible.
A free membership will still allow you to track your handicap and, should the round get a little slow, you will also be able to catch up on the latest golf headlines or review your favourite courses.
