Bushnell Pinseeker Tour V2 – Know The Distance
The Bushnell Pinseeker Tour V2 is considered by many to be one the world’s best golf laser range finders and at a very affordable price. Weighing only 6.6 ounces and with an accuracy of ±1 yard over distances of 5 to 1000 yards it is armed with Pinseeker technology that mixes pinpoint accuracy with consistency allowing you to measure distances of up to 300 yards without the need for reflectors.
The bushnell tour v2 rangefinder is equipped with two ways of targeting. The Pinseeker mode is designed to easily capture the pin without mistakenly capturing background objects where as the scan mode will allow you to pan across the landscape and gather distances to any object in your line of sight. This is done by the display being continuously updated as you move across the landscape.
This range finder is powered by a 3-volt battery and is equipped with 5x magnification capacity. It also features an ergonomic rubber grip making it not only very easy to handle but very precise as well. Another nice feature to note is that the bushnell tour v2 laser rangefinder is also equipped with a dioptre that allows golfers like me who wear contact lenses and sometimes spectacles to compensate by adjusting the focus until you have a clear picture. This is not the case for many other cheaper range finders
How does the range finder work?
Well, nothing could be easier than point and read. After turning on the Bushnell Pinseeker Tour V2, just point it to the object that you want to measure the distance to and a small LCD screen will appear in your field of view. If you are measuring the distance to a flag on the green, just centre the target to the top of the flag, hit the power button again and an invisible laser is triggered. 
A processor inside the unit will automatically measure the distance and display it on the LCD screen. This whole process takes less than a second. Let go of the power button, and the bushnell tour v2 pinseeker will shut itself off in a matter of seconds.
Is it bulky?
Weighing only 6.6 oz, the bushnell tour v2 pinseeker laser rangefinder is rather on the light side of things and will easily fit in your hand (male or female). It will actually fit in a loose pocket without too much fuss.
Is it legal during tournaments?
If you have been reading the sales letters, the answer is yes but there is a degree to this truth. Although the USGA has recently amended its rules to allow the use of range finders during competition, it has in fact left it to the individual courses and committees to do so. So it would be good to check before you start using your bushnell tour v2 range finder in a tournament.

So should you get a Bushnell Pinseeker Tour V2?
Well that all depends. If you find losing balls in water hazards fun, like to play out of bunkers, like to continuously guess which club to hit or would not like to shave strokes off your handicap then don’t. But I am prepared to bet otherwise
